Duxford Imperial War Museum held a two-day Battle of Britain airshow this weekend, which had sold out much to my dismay as the weather turned out so good. Keen to see something, we headed down in the car to a field to the West of the runway, and after managing to squeeze the car into a space on the verge we had a couple of hours watching the warbirds in the sunshine. We were lucky to have many direct flyovers, including a spectacular 17 Spitfires in formation and good old Sally B, the Flying Fortress. What an amazing spectacle! To be honest, photography was a secondary objective today, but I lugged along the Canon 5D MkII, Canon 300mm F/4L and 1.4 x teleconverter.
