It's been another very good holiday in Japan. For a treat I decided to come to Tokyo alone for two nights to do some "me time" including some photography in this amazing, vast and crazy city. I'm staying in a cool little Guesthouse in Kuramae and decided not to venture too far - to Asakusa, Shinjuku, Shibuya and Akihabara. It's been a lot of fun but too hot! By 1pm today I was exhausted shooting in Akihabara so came back for a chill out and a shower. Hopefully I will have enough energy for the Sumidagawa Hanabi tonight!

What to do in the evenings in Kyoto after a hard day’s photography? Do more photography of course – Maiko and Geiko spotting. Amazing to see so many Maiko and Geiko in the three nights I was there. If you know where to wait, then patience is rewarded.
